The AUDIUM Comp 8 is our entrance in the world of our new innovative Double Cone Fullrange. This driver brings fresh dynamic, perfect dispersion and linearity in combination with rich details. AUDIUM Comp 8 Drive
The combination of seemingly opposite properties – a feature common to all products of AUDIUM.
You can find this also at the Comp 8 Drive – our passive reference full-range speaker combined with an integrated active Subwoofer.
This combination allows the use of amplifiers with very low output power like e.g. Triode-Tube amplifiers. The amplifier only has to drive the full-range speaker. The 9″ woofer integrated in the speakers bottom plate is driven by the 180W digital amplifier.
A DSP allows additional tuning of the speaker according to your room requirements and your personal listening preferences.

AUDIUM Comp 8 Active

Such is the Comp 8 Active – an active version of our full
range speaker Comp 8. The active version makes a power amplifier obsolete. You can connect your audio source e.g. a network streamer or your PC directly to the loudspeaker.
This is made possible by a specially designed amplifier module.
It powers the full-range driver and the 9″ woofer mounted in the bottom plate of the loudspeaker through a 30W and 100W digital amplifier respectively. The integrated DSP performs the work of a classical crossover network and additionally allows an adaptation of the speaker to your listening room and your personal listening preferences.
The AiM software, an interactive user manual makes the installation and set up of the speaker mere child’s play.
